American sister duo, Aly & AJ Michalka, have carved out a unique space in the entertainment industry with their work in music, television, and film. Starting out as Disney Channel stars, Aly gained fame through the series “Phil of the Future”, while AJ made her mark co-starring in “Cow Belles” alongside her sister. Their music career took off with the release of their debut album, Into the Rush, in 2005, featuring hits like "Rush" and "Chemicals React." Their follow-up album, 2x platinum selling Insomniatic, included the iconic track "Potential Breakup Song," becoming a defining moment for many fans.
Both sisters continued to build their acting careers, with notable roles in “The Goldbergs” for AJ and “iZombie” for Aly, showcasing their versatility and talent across different mediums. Their acting credits extend across projects as diverse as “Easy A”, “Super 8”,“Hellcats”, “Secretariat”, “Schooled” & “The Good Doctor”.
After a brief hiatus from music, Aly & AJ started their own record label and returned with a matured sound on their 2017 EP Ten Years and continued the evolution by releasing the critically acclaimed album a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun in 2021, which VOGUE called “the album of the summer.” They made their festival debut at Lollapalooza in 2021, followed by a North American tour that had sold out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Boston, among others. 2020 saw the resurgence of "Potential Breakup Song," with the song catching fire and becoming one of the top used songs for the year on TikTok. The trend resulted in over 2 billion video views and saw participation from fans across the world ranging from world renowned chef-Gordon Ramsey to Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles. In March 2023, they released their highly anticipated follow up With Love From. The duo supported the album with a global tour that concluded with a sold-out show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Beyond their professional endeavours, Aly & AJ are known for their advocacy work. They have been vocal supporters of LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness, using their platform to promote positive change while raising over $200,000.00 for The Trevor Project. Aly & AJ have also been fierce advocates of gun control and gun safety, particularly in the aftermath of surviving a mass shooting on tour, choosing to partner with Everytown, March Fourth, and Northwell Health, including a recent meeting with the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention during a visit to Capitol Hill in support of the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban.

By Subway
Massey Hall is a short walk from both Dundas and Queen stations on the Yonge Line.
- From Dundas Station: Walk south on Yonge, then turn left on Shuter Street.
- From Queen Station: Walk north on Yonge, then turn right on Shuter Street.
By GO Transit or VIA Rail
From Union Station, take the Yonge subway line north to Queen Station and exit via the north platform.
Parking
Massey Hall does not have its own parking lot, but several options are available nearby:
- Eaton Centre underground lot (entrance at Yonge & Shuter)
- Green P at 25 Dundas St. E. (at O'Keefe)
- Green P at 37 Queen St. E. (at Victoria)
Bags are discouraged and subject to security screening. Bags larger than 14" x 14" x 6" are not permitted. Allowed bags must be soft-sided and fit completely under your seat.
Massey Hall is committed to creating an inclusive experience for all guests. Recent upgrades include enhanced amenities, accessible seating, and—for the first time in our 126-year history—elevator access to bars, washrooms, and upper levels via the 178 Victoria Street entrance (southeast corner).
The 100 Floor section can be General Admission for designated concerts.
Accessible seating is available on all levels and can be purchased online, or by calling 416-872-4255.
Bars and washrooms are available on all three levels of the venue.
- Floor level guests: Please use the Muskoka Spirits Basement Bar.
- Balcony and Gallery guests: Access the Grolsch Balcony Lounge on Level 2 and GrolschGallery Lounge on Level 3 via the glass corridors through the Allan Slaight Auditorium.
Coat check is available at the Muskoka Spirits Basement Bar. Please note that Massey Hall is a cashless venue, so only credit or debit cards are accepted.
For everyone’s safety, all guests will go through a quick security screening before entering, including bag checks and metal detectors.
